Georgia’s president vows not to step down, as pro-European rallies continue

Tens of thousands of Georgians have formed human chains today in support of European Union membership, marking a month of major pro-European rallies across the country.

Joining protesters was Georgia’s current president Salome Zourabichvili, who has vowed not to step down on Monday, when the newly elected pro-Russian president, aligned with the ruling Georgian Dream party is due to take over.
