Geoffrey Boycott ‘couldn’t give toss’ about knighthood criticism

Theresa May’s resignation honours list has sparked criticism today.  She once joked that she “retched violently” when David Cameron knighted his press chief Craig Oliver.

But now her own former communications supremo is to become “Sir” Robbie Gibb. But by far the strongest criticism was reserved for her decision to award a knighthood to her cricketing idol Geoffrey Boycott, who was convicted of beating his girlfriend in 1998.
