Gaza ceasefire deal ‘is going to be tough’, Biden tells G7 Summit

The American President Joe Biden has said he isn’t confident there will be a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

He told reporters at the G7 summit that he hadn’t lost hope “but it’s going to be tough.”

With little progress in the peace talks, Israel has kept up its airstrikes in central Gaza – while its forces have advanced further inside the southern city of Rafah.
