Frontline workers in England with PTSD or depression more prevalent than thought

We’ve been investigating the toll the pandemic has taken on the mental health of frontline workers, and asking whether people are getting enough support – with one nurse telling us she’s had to pay for her own treatment despite being sectioned twice.

New statistics shown to this programme suggest that PTSD and depression among frontline workers in England are more prevalent than previously thought.
