Fraudsters steal hundreds of millions from bank customers

Hundreds of millions of pounds has been lost from bank customers, many of whom are being conned into sending money directly to fraudsters. Figures out today show that more than half a billion pounds was stolen in the UK in the first half of this year alone. And for some victims, there’s little chance of ever seeing the money again. Banks are now being urged to do more to protect customers, as Jessica Savage explains.
