France protests: hundreds of thousands on Paris streets as police deployed

In France, a 10th day of action by protestors – demonstrating against President Macron’s pension reforms – has again ended in clashes with the police.

On the streets of Paris and other cities across the country, protestors set fires as police responded with teargas.

Earlier in the day, Trade Unions claimed 450,000 people had gathered in Paris for what was an overwhelmingly peaceful demonstration.
