France approves Oxford/AstraZeneca jab for over-65s

France has performed a stunning reversal as it declared its older citizens can now be given the Oxford AstraZeneca Covid vaccine. Last month the jab was restricted solely to the under-65s.

Germany is expected to follow suit in the next few days as it tries to work out a roadmap out of its lockdowns while avoiding another wave of infections.
