Former Catalan minister granted bail in Edinburgh

A former Catalan minister who’s facing extradition to Spain on charges of rebellion has been granted bail, after she turned herself in to the authorities in Scotland. Clara Ponsati also works as a professor at the University of St Andrews. Her lawyer said the charges, which carry a sentence of up to 30 years in jail, amounted to political persecution.
