Five killed in attack on Save the Children in Afghanistan

Save the Children has suspended all operations in Afghanistan after an attack on their offices in the city of Jalalabad left at least five people dead, including three members of the charity’s staff.

Afghan security officials were engaged in a ten-hour gun battle with the militants who stormed the building, and at least 26 people were injured.
