Firefighters spend third day fighting Mourne Mountains blaze

The Northern Ireland health minister has visited the Mourne Mountains where firefighters have spent three days tackling a major wildfire – where he paid tribute to their “bravery and determination”.

Officials say the blaze has caused significant damage to the landscape – especially its wildlife and diversity.
