‘Faulty and ambiguous’ government guidelines contributed to Grenfell disaster, says Michael Gove

Michael Gove has admitted that “faulty and ambiguous” government guidelines contributed to the Grenfell Tower disaster.

The Housing Secretary said successive governments had failed to police the system of building safety effectively enough, and promised a new ultimatum to developers – telling them to fix unsafe homes.
