Family of soldier who died at Deepcut say they hope for truth

Policy Correspondent

The family of a soldier who died at the Deepcut barracks more than 20 years ago say they’re hoping to get closer to the truth, ahead of a new inquest that starts this week. Private Sean Benton was found dead in May 1995 with five gunshot wounds, amid allegations that he had been bullied and abused. His relatives claim the original investigation, which was carried out in just a few hours, was rushed.
