Family condemns police restraint death decision

Scotland Correspondent

The family of a man who died in police custody say they are disgusted and disappointed after Scotland’s Lord Advocate ruled that no police officers would face prosecution as a result.

Sheku Bayoh died after he was restrained by officers who were responding to a call in Kirkcaldy in 2015. The family’s lawyer said they would “continue to fight for the truth”, demanding a full public inquiry into Mr Bayoh’s death.
