Fallout from Facebook investigation felt across world

The fallout from this programme’s investigation into Facebook data harvesting is continuing to be felt across the globe. Lindsey Hilsum is in Kenya, where the strategy firm that harvested the data, Cambridge Analytica, boasted of helping swing last year’s presidential election.

And Siobhan Kennedy is the United States, where Facebook’s shares have plunged a further three per cent after US regulators announced they were launching an investigation into potential privacy violations by the social media giant.
