Facebook knew it was causing harm to young people but failed to act, whistleblower tells Congress

“Left alone, Facebook will continue to make choices against the common good.” Frances Haugen, a former product manager at the social media giant turned whistleblower, has testified before the US Senate, claiming that Facebook knows about the harm it is causing to many young people, but has done nothing about it.
