At the other end of the effort to save the world from catastrophic warming, the COP26 summit in Glasgow kicks off at the end of this month, in the midst of a global pandemic, when the climate already seems to be tipping over into crisis.
So what should we expect and why is it all so crucial?
According to Boris Johnson, the summit’s four goals can be summed up as coal, cars, cash and trees. But the UN’s own wording is somewhat less catchy.
