EU issues retaliation threat over US tariffs plan

A tax on US products like peanut butter, orange juice and cranberries could be on the way, as the European Union warned it could retaliate against Donald Trump’s plans to impose tariffs on certain imports. Europe’s Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said she had “serious doubts” about America’s claim that it was trying to protect its national security, calling it “deeply unjust”.
