ECJ powers could remain in post-Brexit Britain

The Prime Minister is quite clear. After Brexit the UK will be “leaving the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice”. But that’s not stopped critics claiming that her Government has rowed back on “taking back control” of the legal process. Indeed the latest, and one of the most significant, position papers it has yet published today conceded that the ECJ could remain the last legal port of call during any transition period after Brexit, if not longer.
