Drug deaths hit record levels in England and Wales

Drug-related deaths in England and Wales are the highest they have ever been. New figures show there were more than 4,000 deaths from drug poisoning last year, nearly 3 quarters of which were caused by illicit drugs like heroin and crack cocaine. Many health experts have blamed government cuts to treatment programmes.
