Doctors say Alexei Navalny can be flown to Germany for treatment

International Editor

Doctors in Russia have said the opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who’s in a coma after allegedly being poisoned, can be flown to Germany for treatment.

Mr Navalny is a fierce critic of Vladimir Putin. Earlier his wife had written to President Putin asking him to release her husband from hospital.

The Kremlin denied any involvement in the case and wished Mr Navalny a speedy recovery.
