D-Day veterans are all over 90 years old now. And with each year that passes there’s a feeling that our connection to that history-changing day is slowly growing weaker.
So what of our younger generation? They learn about it in school, but to what extent do they really grasp the gravity of an event which is gradually fading from the national memory?
We took a group of pupils from Harris Westminster Sixth Form to the National Army Museum in London.
