Covid vaccines have ‘very good response’ to virus variants, says Oxford University’s Prof Sarah Gilbert

We are nowhere near the end of the Covid catastrophe, but already researchers are looking ahead to the threat of the next one.
That’s what Oxford University’s new half a billion pound “pandemic hub”  will focus on.

We spoke with Prof Sarah Gilbert, who led the team behind the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, and began by asking her how the pandemic centre would collaborate with teams to tackle future pandemics.
