Covid vaccine offered to children aged five to 11

Almost six million more children will be offered a Covid vaccine, after the rest of the UK followed Wales today in announcing five to 11-year-olds will become eligible.

The JCVI – the group that advises the government on how to roll out the jabs – says it has changed its guidance to protect children against future waves of the virus. They can start getting vaccinated from April.

But changing guidance has left some parents confused over what’s best for their kids.
