Covid: Jabs recommended for vulnerable five to 11-year-olds

“The best Christmas present we could have wished for.”

That was how one family we spoke to described the news today that their son would be one of the more than 300,000 vulnerable young children to be offered a Covid vaccine.

The JCVI’s new guidance means most 5 to 11-year-olds won’t get the jab, but those who are clinically at risk, or who live with someone who is immunosuppressed, are now eligible.
