Covid jabs for 12-15s recommended by UK’s chief medical officers

After much debate among scientists and politicians, not to mention within families, it’s now official – healthy kids aged between 12 to 15 will be offered one dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

The government’s vaccine committee had said there wasn’t enough evidence to warrant the move on health grounds alone, but the UK’s chief medical officers took into account other factors, including the predicted spread of Covid over winter, which would disrupt education.
