Covid crash: Thousands more jobs cut

While arguments rage about lockdown levels, there is no escaping the effect that anti-virus measures have had on the economy.

Today, the pub and brewery chain Marston’s said it is axing more than 2,000 jobs and Ryanair said it will be making people redundant after cutting the number of its winter flights by a third.
