Coronavirus: Scotland to reopen shops as more lockdown restrictions lifted

Scotland is to lift more of its lockdown restrictions – and has changed its public health message from “Stay Home” to “Stay Safe”.

People who’ve been shielding can now take outdoor exercise – and from tomorrow they will be able to meet people from other households.

The First Minister acknowledged the “colossal impact” of the crisis on businesses, but urged patience.

Whilst some retail businesses now have a date for reopening, there’s still uncertainty for the embattled hospitality sector.
