Coronavirus deaths ‘disproportionately high’ for black and ethnic minority people

But at that point it was not clear if the numbers reflected the fact that a large proportion of frontline NHS staff are black, Asian or minority ethnic (BAME). Now more detailed data has shown that BAME communities are indeed being disproportionately affected by this virus.
