In Bangladesh up to two million people could be in danger of dying from Covid-19. That’s according to a leaked memo from the United Nations which was circulated among diplomats in the capital Dhaka. It questioned the government’s wisdom in sending an estimated nine-million people out of the capital ahead of a national shutdown.

Amnesty International has warned of the extreme risk to more than a million Rohingya refugees in camps in southern Bangladesh.
