COP15: World representatives meet for once-in-a-decade chance to save biodiversity

Climate campaigners may be united in their opposition to new coal mines.

But there’s another major environmental issue facing the globe, that of catastrophic biodiversity loss.

Today representatives from around the world are in Canada for the start of the COP 15 summit. It offers a once-in-a decade chance to agree targets to stop the extinction crisis we are living through.

And with 69 per cent of global wildlife populations already gone, time is running out.
