Concerns raised over staff safety in Northern Ireland food processing plants

Northern Ireland has announced two deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours – an increase from zero the day before – but there have been concerns about the safety of essential staff in food processing plants – many of which employ a significant number of workers from overseas.

Earlier this month one such worker, Luciana da Silva, from East Timor, died alone at home from presumed Covid-19.
