Commuting chaos continues, despite timetable changes

There’s been commuting chaos for train passengers in the North West of England.

Northern Rail put back services axed in a shake-up in May – only for many of them to fail to run this morning.

It promises to bring back other cancelled services by the autumn, but mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, has urged government intervention over the crisis.
