China accuses UK of ‘gross interference’ over Hong Kong

Ban the Chinese tech giant Huawei from the UK’s 5G network and there will be consequences, Beijing’s ambassador has warned – declaring “you cannot have a golden era if you treat China as an enemy”.

Relations between the two countries have already hit a new low over Hong Kong – with China accusing Britain of “gross interference” in its affairs.
Today China used its new national security law to give Hong Kong police the power to search private properties without a warrant.
