Charlie Watts: Rolling Stones drummer dies at 80

He was one of the greatest drummers the rock world has known.

This afternoon it was announced that Charlie Watts, a member of the Rolling Stones since 1963, had died at the age of 80.

Earlier this month he pulled out of the Stones’ US tour to recover from a medical procedure.

His publicist said he passed away “peacefully” this morning in a London hospital.
