Care home Covid-19 deaths linked to hospital release

North of England Correspondent

This programme has been told that several care home residents died during an outbreak of Covid-19 after a woman was released from a hospital to the home – without being tested.

The infections happened in late February and early March when the government was saying there was little chance of the virus spreading in care homes.

The chief executive of the company that runs that care home has told Channel 4 News that even now testing still isn’t good enough.
