Breast cancer risk from HRT, menopausal hormone therapy, higher than thought

For women suffering the debilitating side-effects of the menopause, it’s a life-changing treatment.

But there have long been concerns about HRT – also known as menopausal hormone therapy – and whether it leads to an increased risk of breast cancer.

A new study says the risk is twice as great as previously thought.
