Boris Johnson tries to rally support ahead of Commons vote over new Partygate probe

Boris Johnson has been trying to rally support from Tory MPs again today – as the Commons prepares to decide if he should face an investigation into whether he misled parliament over the Partygate scandal.

Labour is demanding his resignation and accusing him of lying to the public, but Mr Johnson will be hoping his latest apology will draw a line under the affair.
