Boris Johnson marries Carrie Symonds after a politically challenging week

MPs and ministers have congratulated Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds, after they got married in a private ceremony in Westminster Cathedral. It’s understood the couple won’t be taking an immediate honeymoon – while Downing Street said they were planning a larger celebration with friends and family in the summer. It comes at the end of a distinctly challenging political week for the Prime Minister.
