Bomb at mosque in Pakistan kills at least 59 people

At least 59 people have been killed by a bomb that targeted police officers praying in a mosque in Pakistan.

A suicide bomber is believed to have detonated a device during afternoon prayers in the northwestern city of Peshawar, near the country’s border with Afghanistan.

It is not clear how the bomber was able to enter the walled compound, which houses Peshawar’s police headquarters within a high-security zone with other government buildings.
