Belarus Olympic sprinter speaks out after fleeing games for Poland

Krystina Timanovskaya, the Belarus sprinter who was sent home from the Tokyo Olympics for criticising her coaches, has been speaking to the world’s press about how a conversation with her grandmother persuaded that she should not return to Belarus for her own safety.

Timanovskaya is now in Poland where she is staying on a humanitarian visa.
