Bataclan attack – footage filmed by Le Monde journalist
Shocking video shows people fleeing from the emergency exit and climbing out of windows at the Bataclan theatre, during the Paris attacks on Friday night.
This footage was filmed by Daniel Psenny, a journalist at Le Monde.fr, who was himself shot in the arm as he attempted to help people shelter in his apartment.
The attack on the Bataclan was the deadliest of last night’s co-ordinated assault – with at least 128 people reported dead so far across the city.
The Eagles of Death Metal, a band from California, were playing a concert at the theatre when the terrorists attacked and took fans hostage.
When specialist armed police units stormed the building the terrorists blew themselves up. One witness said the gunman shouted “this is for Syria”.
