Barry Jenkins: director of Moonlight

It’s a year since the Oscars ‘so white’ controversy when no actors of colour were nominated for an award. Now there’s Moonlight. It was shot in an impoverished part of Miami, where its director Barry Jenkins grew up with his drug addicted mother. Fatima Manji went to ask him about the film’s eight Oscar nominations.
