Backing for new inquest into girl’s ‘pollution’ death

Ella Kissi-Debrah was just nine when she died of severe asthma. Today her mother won the right to a new inquest to try and establish if air pollution contributed to her death.

Ella, who died in 2013, lived yards from one of London’s busiest roads, a notorious pollution hotspot. If a new inquest is granted, the government and other authorities could be held to account.

We speak to her mother, Rosamund Kissi-Debrah.
