The devastating wildfires in Australia could become ‘normal’ unless action is taken to rapidly curb the greenhouse gases driving global warming.

That’s the warning from a group of British scientists in a new report that confirms climate change has increased the risk of the extreme fires seen in recent weeks.

Smoke from those fires is also having a major impact, with Melbourne today experiencing the worst air quality in the world.
