Follow tonight's historic leaders debate live on our blog as we bring you the latest action tweet by tweet.

Join in the political fray and have your say on our live blog throughout the televised leaders' debates, the first of which is tonight on ITV1.

In the run up the general election on on May 6, Channel 4 News will run a live blog covering all the daily political action as it happens.

Regular followers of our Twitter accounts @channel4news, @c4nwestminster and @c4election will be familiar with our minute-by-minute coverage - which kicked off with last month's intensive #askthechancellors debate.

During this election campaign we will be following all the events and party announcements on our live blog with video, online polls and more.

The live blog will also be fired up for the evenings of the three prime ministerial leaders debates.
