In the run up the general election on on May 6, Channel 4 News will run a live blog covering all the daily political action as it happens.

Regular followers of our Twitter accounts @channel4news, @c4nwestminster and @c4election will be familiar with our minute-by-minute coverage - which kicked off with last month's intensive #askthechancellors debate.

During this election campaign we will be following all the events and party announcements on our live blog with video, online polls and more.

The live blog will also be fired up for the evenings of the three prime ministerial leaders debates.

You can comment straight into this blog, or follow it via your twitter account if away from a computer.

Just sign up to follow @channel4news and get all the latest tweets wherever you are.
