Afghan surge - the challenges ahead

State Department civilians are learning about the challenges they will face in Afghanistan as part of the United States' "civilian surge". Sarah Smith reports.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai's re-election was plagued by fraud allegations.
Now the US secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, is calling on Karzai to take steps to root out corruption if he wants American support.
While he considers proposals to send more troops to the country, President Obama has ordered a "civilian surge" in Afghanistan, sending out experts to deal with corruption and provide better services.
Our Washington correspondent Sarah Smith reports from an army base in Indiana, where State Department civilians are learning about the challenges they will face when they deploy to Afghanistan.
