A host of stars have hit the blue carpet for the London premiere of Pixar hit Wall-E.

The loveable robot even turned up, after making an impressive entrance before hundreds of fans in Leicester Square.

He shared the spotlight with Sigourney Weaver, who voices one of the film's characters, and Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson.

The film tells the story of the last robot on earth, who sets about compacting rubbish for 700 years.

But his routine changes with the arrival of Eve, a probe sent to investigate if earth has become suitable enough for humans, who now live in outer space.

Wall-E went straight to number one in the US, taking $62.5 million (£31.3 million) last month in its opening weekend, and its success is expected to be repeated in the UK.
