Almost a quarter of a million people recorded homeless, living in temporary homes says Shelter

Mould, damp and mice and fleas – just some of the conditions people in temporary accommodation are having to put up with.

New research from the charity Shelter shows that almost a quarter of a million people recorded as homeless in England are living in temporary homes, that’s a 74% increase over the last ten years.
