Alleged IS fighter ‘Jihadi Jack’ wants to return to UK

News Correspondent

The alleged British Islamic State fighter known as Jihadi Jack has said he wants to come home. Speaking from a prison in northern Syria, Jack Letts, who is originally from Oxford, said he wants to face trial back in the UK.

It comes just days after the British teenager Shamima Begum was stripped of her citizenship after she travelled to Syria to marry and Islamic State militant. There’s no suggestion that Jack Letts has had his citizenship removed as yet.
